Whether it’s an introductory course or a student circus residency, we’ve got you covered! Circus workshops are entertaining, fun, and spark kids’ eagerness to learn. We commonly offer three core programs that can be brought to schools and camps across Portland, Tigard, Lake Oswego, Oregon City, Gresham, Hood River, Yakima, and other communities in Southern Washington State.
Circus 101
Have Larry perform an exciting, fun-filled show followed by a day of hands-on workshops. This program is interactive and perfect for schools and camps of all sizes. For larger groups, Larry can run multiple days so every student has the opportunity to try age-appropriate circus skills at a reasonable price.
Circus Week
Invite Larry to your school or camp for a week-long residency, where students have multiple opportunities to learn circus skills. Workshops begin with the basics and gradually introduce more fun and challenging activities. Students explore juggling, stilt walking, and an introduction to low-impact partner acrobatics. The focus is on goal-setting and discovering how we learn, all in a positive, supportive environment.
Circus Extravaganza
Two teaching artists come for 1 to 2 weeks to bring the full circus experience. While introducing workshops to all students, the artists work daily with a select group to produce a culminating circus show. This program introduces more advanced skills, including balance props and clowning, and gives students the chance to shine in a performance for their peers and community. This is truly an outstanding program that combines creativity, confidence, and collaboration.
